  “I wish, I wish, I wish I thought of looking up this company before I decieded to trust them with my move!
  I've had the most hellish experience with the moving company called Atran (also known as Atraf) they have changed their name because they have at least 44 complaints against them and are a fraudulant company. The way they hook you into choosing them is they give you a low-end estimate then after picking up your items they tell you a whole different amount saying your items way more than double what they estimated in the first place. Then they guarantee a delivery date, but end up coming an entire month late! All the while they never return your calls to update you in the process and only answer their phone when you call 10-15 times in a row and then put you on hold and hang up on you. When they finally did arrive, there was only one man to deliver my items, he didn't even have a dolly, he had to go find one-therefore continuing to waste my time (I had already burned 3 vacation days from them giving me false delivery dates!), the whole time this guy was unloading my stuff he was complaining of his back (naturally) and telling his whole life story, also telling me that this was his first contract with this company! He demanded cash before unloading, of course I tried to call the company to verify this because I was not made aware beforehand and of course could not get ahold of anyone! The move had to be delayed another day until I could find out if this was how they did business. Also, another thing to add this entire scam, my contract that included prices was different than what the delivery guy's was, he had additional charges on his that were not on mine!!! He threatened to leave unless I paid him what was on his contract, so I in turn threatened to call the police if he left with my stuff, that I have been waiting for one month for! After all that, I am still missing several boxes and items and wonder if I will ever see them again! This company needs to be put out of business, this is criminal and just plain wrong! I have contacted BBB and will be contacting their local police department if I don't hear back about my items that they still have of mine and I've overpaid to have them delivered!!!”

  “BEWARE of ATRAF!
  My son needed to move from Manhattan to Las Vegas. He contacted ATRAF and received a low-ball estimate from an on-site estimator, of $1,000 to move 2,000 lbs (contents of a small loft apartment), excess over 2,000 lbs at .50/lb. Movers arrived, wrapped, packed the truck, and left. Then called my son to say it would cost $7,500 to move the goods since they weighed 11,912 lbs. One of the movers had estimated after they loaded the truck, maybe 6,000 lbs. ATRAF unloaded the goods into their warehouse.
  I took the train to NY and met w/the movers. Yes, my son had a lot of stuff, but not 11,912 lbs. ATRAF never offered or showed us weight tickets to back up their claim; they wanted $1,500 to reload the goods and re-weigh them. Finally, since ATRAF was now holding the goods hostage, we agreed on $6,500 - what else could we do - to complete the move.
  When the goods arrived in Las Vegas, my son paid the driver to get before and after weight tickets from a truck stop. The weight tickets showed my son's goods weighed 6,720 lbs., not 11,912 lbs.
  ATRAF underbids to get the job, then they grossly overestimate the weight, and then hold your goods hostage until you pay. I won't even get into the damage to the goods once delivered.
  BEWARE of these guys!”
