  “I am honestly surprised this guy is still in business. On the phone he was very slick, and quoted me 4 to 5 hours of work based on the size of my apartment and the short distance I was moving. This seemed in line with my previous experience as I had hired movers when I relocated from Mount Vernon to Bellingham, and it took the movers 5 hours (including travel time).
  
  Long story short, after Iron Man Movers showed up the owner set the tone of the move by sitting in the truck doing crossword puzzles and talking on the phone while his two staff did all of the moving. One of the movers apologized for how long it was taking, but never said why that was the case.
  
  When we arrived at my new apartment it started raining heavily. I have hardwood floors in my new home and asked the owner to put runners down to protect the floors as his team moved things in. After asking not once, but three times, it still never happened. The last time I expressed my consternation with his lack of service, and the fact that it was taking twice as long as he had quoted on the phone. He came up with a host of excuses, though he was parked right outside the main entrance at both locations, there was an elevator at both buildings, and only a couch had to be carried up the stairs. He even suggested I hire another mover next time, which I took as acknowledgment of his horrible service. He then had the gall to ask that since it was taking them so long, he wanted to drive away with my belongings and come back the following day to finish. I spent the next hour and a half unloading with his staff - he refused to help - so I could be done with it.
  
  By the end of the move, I paid TWICE the quoted price, my entertainment center had a large chip out of it, a section of my bookshelves was missing, and the full length of my dining room table was water damaged from the rain. The owner has still not returned my calls to address these issues.
  
  Use anyone but Iron Man Movers.”
